Source: Tetra Pak headquarters leaves Russia, output can stop

MOSCOW, May 23 (PRIME) -- The headquarters of Tetra Pak has stopped its cooperation with the Russian office, and there are risks that the production in the country will stop, a source close to the company told PRIME on Monday.

"In fact, the Russian division of Tetra Pak is working fully autonomously from the headquarters that has broken all ties with its affiliate. This causes problems with the signing of deals, the supplies of packaging to the Russian companies and leads to disruptions in the IT systems integrated into the digital print process," the source said.

The Russian company is able to print only the types of packaging that were loaded on its servers earlier and cannot introduce any changes in the obligatory information on the packaging or design. The parent company does not let the division have access to the U.K. server to solve the issues, and the output in Russia can stop completely, the source said.
